Steevenson Jeudy (Violette AC) – Scout Report

Steevenson Jeudy won the Caribbean Club Championships with Violette AC, scoring two goals in four matches. The striker joined Haitian side Violette AC from América in 2021 and signed a contract with Violette AC until 2025. He was also part of the Haitian under 20 squad in the CONCACAF U20 Championship and was very important for the team, scoring many goals.

Standing at 1.80 – 1.85 meters with a normal build, Steevenson Jeudy is a very mobile striker. The Haitian striker holds off opponents well and is capable of protecting the ball under pressure, as he has good close control and ball coordination in small spaces. He has good changes of direction and is pretty quick on the first meters, while Jeudy also has good pace over long distances. He likes to run into space and will always try to make a run in behind when the attacking midfielder is carrying the ball into the final third. While he was often dropping deep for Violette, he seemed to stay in position more for Haiti under 20. However, he is capable of holding up play and linking up with his teammates.

It is remarkable how well he controls powerful and aerial passes without much effort. The striker’s passing ability is decent with both feet, but it is not his strongest point. Steevenson Jeudy often looks composed in front of goal, bar a few moments where he shoots from far out, and his finishing ability seems really clean. He has decent aerial ability too, towering above the rest and scoring several headers for Haiti under 20 in the CONCACAF U20 Championship. Jeudy looked to understand the game pretty well and was in the right places at the right time.

Concluding, Steevenson Jeudy is a complete striker, but needs to become more consistent in his link-up play. However, he has a strong touch under pressure and is a very interesting player for the future. However, Steevenson Jeudy’s close control, mobility, composure in the final third and (potential in) link-up play indicate that he would be suited to the MLS or even European football in the future. Some Haitians have even moved to the youth setups of French professional football teams, which could happen to Jeudy too, as he would be a smart pick-up for most teams in Ligue 1 or Ligue 2. It is pretty clear that Steevenson Jeudy is Haiti’s biggest talent at the moment and it is only a matter of time before he gets picked up by an MLS or French side.
