Caracas FC played in a 4-2-3-1 and had their best match. They played patiently, but had a lot of variation and creativity which led to multiple chances and eventually four goals. Especially Villanueva, the right central defender, stood out with a lot of pinpoint cross passes. Robert Hernández showed once again that he is a strong player at this level and the youngsters did very well as well.
Anderson Contreras

Player profile:
- Nationality: Venezuelan
- Age: 19
- Date of birth: 30/03/2001
- Current Club: Caracas FC
- Career: Caracas FC (Y)
- Position: central midfielder
- Preferred foot: left
Anderson Contreras played as a right central midfielder. He sometimes dropped deep to support the first phase of the build-up, but he swapped this role often with Ricardo Andreutti. Contreras showed once again that he has very good awareness, he always checks his shoulder before receiving the ball and handles rightly after.
The Venezuelan showed great vision, technique and passing ability to create a chance, where he sent a diagonal cross to the far post, for Eduardo Fereira. This was a phenomenal pass. Contreras handled well under pressure, partly because he checks his shoulders well and knows who where is. Contreras had good stamina and did well to cover the whole pitch.
He showed good pace in long distance, but sometimes gets dribbled past when his opponent is on full speed and he needs to start sprinting yet. In defence, he positioned himself well often. He managed to cut the passing lanes well which led to multiple interceptions. However, at once, he tried to dribble past his opponent on his own half which led to possession loss. He needed to recover this and made a foul.
Rating: A1
After three matches, I’m certain that he can play at a higher level.
Jorge Echeverría

Player profile:
- Nationality: Venezuelan
- Age: 20
- Date of birth: 13/02/2000
- Current Club: Caracas FC
- Career: Caracas FC (Y)
- Position: attacking midfielder
- Secondary position: left-winger & right-winger
- Preferred foot: right
Jorge Echeverría mostly played as an attacking midfielder in this game, playing close to the striker. Also, he swapped positions with Hernández and Celis often and sometimes played on either the left or right wing. At attacking midfielder, Echeverría had the best game I’ve watched of him so far. He gave one assist and one pre-assist before being subbed off in the 80th minute.
Echeverría did well to move into space often, showing some good off the ball movement. Also, he created space for his teammates, by making diagonal runs to create space for Hernández to cut inside. He was very active in putting pressure and showed good stamina. Also, he once again showed that his technique is very good.
When Echeverría was out of balance, he showed good determination to keep on running and not fall over to try and draw the foul. He created some good chances for others. Also, he missed a chance from close range as he missed the ball. Echeverría played a few good long passes as well.
Rating: A1
A very impressive performance of Echeverría. I’m certain that he would do well in the MLS.
Eduardo Fereira

Player profile:
- Nationality: Venezuelan
- Age: 19
- Date of birth: 29/09/2000
- Current Club: Caracas FC
- Career: Carabobo (Y), Caracas FC (Y)
- Position: right-back
- Preferred foot: right
Eduardo Fereira played as a right-back and showed good discipline. He kept composed in the defensive third and stayed in the defensive line when he needed to. Also, he stepped out of the defensive line at the right moments. In attack, he made some good overlapping runs, even though his crosses were below average. He nearly scored after making a very good run into the box.
Rating: A2
I need to rewatch him, but I think that Casiani suits Caracas FC better in the Venezuelan league.
