Yuri César played as an attacking midfielder and had freedom to organise the attacking play. He offered solution in the first stages of build up play. He took positions between the lines to open passing lanes. His technical quality allowed him to get in direction of the game to attack, his first touch gives him an advantage to dominate space. He varies his movements, he offers support to facilitate combinations on the opposing side.

His technical ability allows him to keep the ball and dribble into the final third. This quality allows him to keep control of the ball in tight spaces to gain time and space in key areas. He showed difficulties in the beginning of the match to enter the final third with his passing. He took control of the ball and created danger by keeping the ball in the opposition half. During this match, he scored two goals including a beautiful goal in the top corner from 20 metres.

In a game where Flamengo dominated, he was able to make defensive efforts when it was necessary. Overall, he was important in the development of the team’s attacking play. He energised the game with his one touch play and created good situations for his partners. Even if he scored 2 goals, he could have scored more goals if he had been more precise.

Yuri Cesar is a player with great technical quality, he is a dominant player with the ball who keeps control and creates danger in the final third. He can still improve in the planning of the attacking game, he can sometimes rush and lose  good situations. He is above the U20 level, his loan to Fortaleza will allow him to gain maturity in his game

João Gomes

João Gomes was one of the important elements in the build up play of the team. His partnership with Richard Rios in the midfield brought good balance. It’s a versatile player in the midfield and adjusted his role during the match.

With Richard Rios, he had more freedom to participate in attacks. He had good use of space to allow combinations and progression into the final third. His good positioning and anticipation allowed him to win ball and stop counter attacks from Club Libertad. This allowed him to maintain the pressure in the rival side. He is a dynamic player who as soon as win the ball seeks to play forward, he initiates the attacking transitions.

When Yuri Oliveira took the place of Richard Rios on the field, João Gomes adjusted his role to be more defensive. He offers a defensive support to allow more freedom for his partners. In deeper positions, he was more present in the build up play. His technical quality allowed him to keep control of the ball against the pressing of attackers and initiate transitions.

João Gomes is a versatile player, he can adjust his role according the needs of the team. A technical quality to be dominant with the ball and an intelligence to settle in the heart of the game to energise the attacks.

Matheus França

Matheus França is the right back of this team, a role where he varies his position and marks his attacking presence to energised his side. He offers width with his positioning, this position stretches the lines and offers more space inside. This position allows him to give solutions in the first stages of build play. He attacks the depth, this allows to bring speed and occupy the final third to bring danger. This activity allows him to be at the origin and the conclusion of the attacks on his side.

He adjusts his placement during the match, we can find him occupying a half space position to carry and free up depth for the forward. To energise his lane, he can dribble to attack but also combine with his partners to create and exploit spaces.

Matheus França is a right back who brings intensity with his work rate. He is also vigilant in his defensive work, his speed allows him to cover spaces to defend.

Gabriel Noga

Gabriel Noga is a centre back, an important position in this attacking team, where the defenders can find themselves outnumbered. In situations with the ball, he is used to bring out the ball. He uses his passing ability to find the attackers or the midfielders to initiate the attack and showed a good range of passing. He delivered several interesting passes to initiate attacking situations. When he lacks a solution, he can force the pass and lose possession and needs better decision making in these situations.

In a match, where Flamengo attacked more than they defended, he was more involved in this aspect of the game, however, he was able to defend. He was able to manage situations in numerical inferiority forcing the attacker to delay and facilitating the return of his partners to regain position. A good read of the game to win the ball in a high position on the pitch.

Gabriel Noga is one of the youngest on the team, he has been important in this team. He participated in the U17 World Cup. He is one of the promising players in this position in Flamengo.

Rodrigo Muniz

His physical presence allows him to free up spaces and create danger in the final third. He is a mobile player and can serve as support to combine with his partners to attack the freed space. He is strong which allows him to be dominant in the final third. It was after a duel won that he finds himself in the shooting position to score on the edge of the box.

He has balance and good coordination, as well as being agile and able to be reactive in tight spaces. He has good control of his body to hold the ball and to frees up from the rival pressure. He gives an assist in the Yuri’s goal to by winning an aerial duel.

An attacker who imposes himself by his physical presence and his technical quality to create danger in the final third. He influence the attacks, he can create and finish attacks.
