Deportivo La Guaira played in a 4-4-2 formation. They tried to be successful on the break and played quite direct. They managed to hold on for long, but in the 86th minute they capitalized after Hernández’ cross went into the goal. Overall, they did not have many chances but they used their wings well. Caracas played the possession game with low-intensity and did not manage to create a lot of chances.

Darluis Paz played as left midfielder. He is a very tricky and agile winger who likes to cut inside to his stronger right foot. Paz managed to get past his opponent at times, even though he had a lot of duels in the midfield third rather than in the final third. He showed good awareness and vision to spot the runs in behind and managed to get the ball there. Defensively, he recovered possession at times.
Rating: A2
He showed some promising signs in attack and it will be interesting to keep a closer eye out for Darluis Paz.

Guillermo Marín played as a right midfielder. He showed good positional awareness to either move inside when Velásquez made an overlapping run or to stick close to the sideline to attract his direct opponent to step out of the defensive line which creates space in behind. Marín did well in the tight spaces. He has an okay technique, showed decent ball control and managed to find his teammates well.

Like Paz, I need to rewatch him to determine his potential.
Leonardo Mosquera

The right-footed left-back impressed in the attacking phase. He made some good overlapping and underlapping runs, he found the space in behind well and he had a good technique. Mosquera liked to use his right foot whenever he was able to, including an outside of the boot pass. Also, he showed some good dribbling skills. Mosquera tended to run forward whenever he saw the chance, he even did it at times when Deportivo La Guaira hadn’t recovered possession yet.
Rating: A2
Needs to be rewatched, but his attacking qualities seemed impressive.
José Velásquez

José Velásquez played as a right-back and was very aggressive. He immediately put pressure on his opponent and tried to give him little time to think about a next step. However, this meant that he always left his defensive line which opened up gaps down the wing. Velásquez lost a lot of 1-on-1 duels. In attack, he had some good dribbles, getting past his opponent
through perseverance.

Needs to be rewatched, but he did not make a very good impression in this match.
