Mykola Matviyenko

Player profile:
- Nationality: Ukrainian
- Age: 23
- Date of birth: 02/05/1996
- Current Club: Shakhtar Donetsk
- Career: Shakhtar Donetsk, Karpaty Lviv (L), Vorskla Poltava (L)
- Position: Centre-Back
- Secondary position: Left-back
- Preferred foot: Left
Mykola Matviyenko is not a CB who relies on his physique, standing 181cm tall. But he offers other qualities to his side. He gets possession a lot during the first stages of play and has the ability to keep control of the ball and manages to break the first line of pressure well.
His physique can put him in difficulty in duels but he compensates with his reading of the game, allowing him to predict, intercept and recover possession of the ball. When he has space he looks to drive the ball forward. Also on the counter attack his speed allows him to better manage the situations in numerical inferiority and delay the attack.
He can be overconfident with the ball and he needs to be more vigilant. Under pressure, he had some oversights which gave dangerous counter situations to Dynamo Kiev.
Rating: A2
A versatile player who helps the defence with his technical quality. Even if he is not the most physical defender, he has other defensive and technical qualities and had a good game overall.
Viktor Kovalenko

Player profile:
- Nationality: Ukrainian
- Age: 24
- Date of birth: 14/02/1996
- Current Club: Shakhtar Donetsk
- Career: Shakhtar Donetsk
- Position: Central Midfield
- Secondary position: Attacking Midfield
- Preferred foot: Right
Viktor Kovalenko has a good stature, with athletic ability as well as technical qualities that allow him to create danger in the final third.
He drops deep to help bring out the ball and break the opponent’s pressing. He often tried to play simple, favouring a one-touch play to progress the ball. In higher positions, he was between the lines and looked to speed up play with his one-touch combinations. He was active in different phases of the game, the equaliser came from his deflected shot which rebounds to Stepanenko, who scores. But he needs to be more focused at the defensive side as he finds himself out of position and commits avoidable fouls.
Rating: B1
He has a lot of quality, which allows him to adjust his position according to the needs of the team. His right foot is a formidable weapon to open the game or start attacks.
Dodô

Player profile:
- Nationality: Brazilian
- Age: 21
- Date of birth: 17/11/1998
- Current Club: Shakhtar Donetsk
- Career: Coritiba, Shakhtar Donetsk, Vitoria Guimaraes (L),
- Position: Right back
- Preferred foot: Right
The young right back came on during the game at the 53rd minute. As soon as he came into play, he changed the face of the offensive and impacted his side to create danger.
His placement on the right side provided width and he supports the ball carrier, making himself accessible. He did not hesitate to bring the ball forward when he could in the area. He was strong in duels, not forgetting his defensive role. But he must find balance and composure in attack as he can sometimes rush which can lead to him losing possession needlessly.
Rating: A2
His speed and technical quality brings energy to the right side. He caused problems and influenced the attacks by offering width to disturb the opposing defensive block. He must manage his energy a little better to impact more effectively and over a longer period of time in the match.
