Óscar Conde

Player profile:
- Nationality: Venezuelan
- Age: 17
- Date of birth: 06/06/2002
- Current Club: Academia Puerto Cabello
- Career: Academia Puerto Cabello (Y)
- Position: central defender
- Preferred foot: right
Óscar Conde played as a left central defender in this match and even though he made some mistakes, he made a good impression in this match. Conde liked to step out of the defensive line and defend proactively, which he did well at times, but he also made some mistakes when doing this.
In the 22th minute, he decided to step out and try to cut the passing lane towards Rodrigo Febres. However, he needed to stay in line and if he had done that he would have intercepted the pass. Now, he was out of position and not even in line of the pass. This resulted in a big chance for Caracas FC. He did a similar thing in the 29th minute.
Conde kept calm under pressure, but he tried to pass with only his right foot as his left foot seemed to be a lot weaker than his right foot. However, as he played as a left central defender, he sometimes still needed to pass with his left foot which didn’t go that well.
The Venezuelan defender did well to spot runs of his opponent early and closed the gap down very quickly, not allowing his opponent to get any space to get either a shot off or cross it into the box. Also, he showed that he has a good physique.
Rating: A2
Overall, it was an okay performance of the 17-year-old and it will be good to keep track of him in order to assess how he develops in the coming months.
Matías Lacava

Player profile:
- Nationality: Venezuelan
- Age: 17
- Date of birth: 10/10/2002
- Current Club: Academia Puerto Cabello
- Career: FC Barcelona (Y), Lazio (Y), Academia Puerto Cabello (Y), SL Benfica (Y), Academia Puerto Cabello
- Position: attacking midfielder
- Secondary position: left-winger, right-winger
- Preferred foot: left
Matías Lacava played in a free role on the right and it could be seen why he has played in the youth of Barcelona, Lazio and Benfica. Technically, Lacava was the best player on the pitch. Also, he had very good bursts of speed on the ball and managed to get past opponents with ease.
However, sometimes he cut inside while it was very busy in the center, even when the outside was left open by the opposition. This meant that he lost possession quite often when he tried to cut inside. Also, he lacked physique and got pushed off the ball at times.
Lacava is a very creative player and he liked to drop deep at times to receive the ball in midfield. This attracted Notaroberto to follow him around and leave his position often, which left space on the right-wing. Academia Puerto Cabello did not profit from this space and they could have made more use of this.
Rating: A2 / B2
At the age of 17, he still has lots of time to work on his physical attributes. I need to keep track of him.
