Srdjan Kuzmic is a Slovenian 2004-born right-footed left-back playing for Viborg FF in the
Danish Superliga. He has represented Slovenia from U15 to U21 and made his senior
debut vs the USA in January 2024.
Standing at 183 cm with a lean-to-medium build. Physically strong in both upper and
lower body, he possesses good pace, allowing him to contribute in advanced areas while
also recovering quickly in defensive transitions thanks to his high work rate. His stamina
and endurance are solid and he hasn’t suffered muscular injuries so far.
On the ball he shows solid fundamentals, contributing to build-up without taking
excessive risks in the first phase, although he can play incisive passes into central areas.
His short passing is reliable, while long-range distribution can be less consistent. Under
pressure in tight spaces he can struggle, but often escapes pressure through simple
dribbles or carries, typically driving outward. He is capable of carrying the ball at high
speed while holding off challenges. Adequately understands how to attack space, timing
forward runs well both overlapping and underlapping. His crossing ability is a strong asset
(tense, clipped or inswinging deliveries) with either foot & his shooting technique is decent
as he is willing to attempt efforts in promising positions, particularly when arriving late into
the box, although decision-making in the final third can sometimes be slightly slow.
Off the ball he embraces duels both aerially and on the ground. Although not particularly
tall, he competes well in the air and often disrupts opponents. He is reliable defending the
far post and applies aggressive pressure when opposing wingers receive on his side. At
times he can be slightly impulsive, but he generally shows good judgement when to step
out or hold position, while also demonstrating solid anticipation and interception ability. In
1v1 situations he is reliable, usually timing his challenges well and staying patient before
committing, though he can occasionally become overeager. He understands positioning
well and shows diligent defensive responsibility, supporting his ability to defend space in
behind, where he is rarely beaten thanks to his positioning and recovery speed.
Mentally, he appears committed and resilient, displaying strong work ethic and self-
confidence that keeps him involved throughout matches.
In conclusion, Kuzmic is an adaptable full-back capable of contributing in both attacking
and defensive phases. He would likely benefit from a more direct, transition-oriented
playing style. He could become an active squad member at a club competing in European
competitions within a second-tier European league, or potentially a lower mid-table side
in a Top 5 league. Rangers FC or Hamburg S.V. could be suitable destinations.
