Report:

Matej Jurasek stands at 1.81m with a slim build. Trying to shrug off opponents in shoulder-to-shoulder duels, Jurasek occasionally loses his balance. He shows decent but not great strength in duels with his back towards the goal, sometimes getting pushed away from the ball too easily. However, he does not shy away from physical duels and tracks back really well although he gets dribbled past quite easily. Jurasek displays good but not explosive speed on first meters, although it is enough to create separation against defenders in the Fortuna Liga. He also displays above average speed over longer distances. Jurasek displays decent changes of directions.

The Czech winger can either provide width or play on the inside for Slavia Prague, although he generally tends to roam around the pitch throughout the game. He has a good sense of space both in the build-up play and in the final third. Jurasek displays good anticipation in and near the box. Receiving the ball out wide, Jurasek displays a decent first touch with both feet and prefers to cut inside to his stronger left foot, although he is also capable of dribbling past his opponent on the outside. Matej Jurasek likes to look for the short combination, cross or shot from distance after cutting inside. His cut-backs and crosses with his right foot from the byline are at a decent level but he creates more danger with his left. Jurasek displays good vision in the final third, spotting runners in behind well and finding them with good through passes.

He has the potential to become a good chance creator with his in-swinging crosses from deep on the right wing. Matej Jurasek displays good crossing technique on his left foot and creates a lot of danger with his crosses from deep. His delivery from set-pieces is also good. Matej Jurasek showcases his good close control when dribbling quite often but would be more efficient with his dribbling if he builds more muscle. This will come as he develops his physique. He sometimes manages to turn away from his opponent sharply. His one-touch play is good, being capable of combining with his teammates in tight spaces. Jurasek sometimes showcases his tactical intelligence operating in tight spaces, often having a smart solution to play out of pressure. He will do this more consistently once he gets stronger on the ball. Matej Jurasek is composed in front of goal and is unselfish. He strikes the ball really well with his left foot, often trying to curl the ball towards the far corner but also being capable of hitting the ball with a lot of power. Evidently, Jurasek will score many goals with his left foot in the future.

Although Matej Jurasek is not yet a finished product, he looks to be a very interesting prospect coming out of the Czech Republic. Jurasek is a tactically intelligent player with good vision and composure in the final third and a great left foot. He needs to work on his physical appearance if he wants to make it in a (much) more demanding league such as the Premier League. I think his next move should be to move to The Netherlands, as the Portuguese Primeira Liga and the Belgian Pro League might not suit him that well. He would be a good signing for AFC Ajax, Feyenoord or PSV as a back-up option.
